ArabWIC Lebanon Chapter

The Lebanese Chapter of Arab Women in Computing (ArabWIC) held its inaugural event on the 29th of July 2015 at the American University of Beirut (AUB). This event was sponsored by the computer science department of AUB, the Lebanese League for Women in Business (LLWB) and ArabNet and was attended by around forty women including students, IT professionals, professors and entrepreneurs. The male gender was present in the event too.

Although ArabWIC Lebanon is still in its infancy, promising projects and partnerships are being cooked.  ArabWIC leaders believe in the power of technology as much as they believe in the power of a group of passionate people determined to make a difference.  If you are reading this, then maybe it is time for you to join the ArabWIC community!
